ABOUT US

Founded in 1862, Holywood Yacht Club is one of the oldest yacht clubs in Ireland. We are a small, friendly and active sailing club who caters for all levels and abilities. The sailing season runs from April to September during which there are regular sailing sessions, races, training and social events. Come on down and get out on the waves!

Congratulations to HYC member Sam Pearson who finished up first in the RYA Northern Ireland John Minis Youth Champs Regatta Topper fleet this weekend at Ballyholme Yacht Club! 🏆 Great work by Sam 👏🏼👏🏼 The regatta fleet is designed for sailors attending their first event, or first time outside of their club. It blends coaching with racing. Sam finished 1st out of 12 Toppers. A big weekend for HYC members this weekend as Sophie Cahill and Chris Penney raced at the ILCA Irish National Championships at Ballyholme Yacht Club ⛵️🇮🇪Sophia finished 49th overall in the ILCA 6 fleet and Chris finished 9th overall in the ILCA 7 fleet winning 3rd Master.
