Sailing Events

Family Sailing Nights are open to all members and friends! A rescue boat will be afloat and any sailor can head onto the water (weather dependent of course!) These nights are ideal for those wishing to learn to sail, or anyone who just fancies getting out on the waves for a session. Come sailing in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where veterans share their knowledge and newcomers discover the joy of sailing.
HYC runs several racing series open to everyone to try their hand at the competitive side of the sport. These races follow the rules of sailing and points accumulate throughout the series. Racing Prizes are then given out during our Prize Giving Night which usually occurs between November and January
From Family barbecues to ‘Onboarding Days’, come join us for other sailing events. Discover sailing for the first time or race against other members, then afterwards come ashore for some food and entertainment!
