Alongside the Sailing, Holywood Yacht Club puts on a vast array of social events, from large music nights to different workshops. We provides facilities to both members and the community. Our rooms are not only used for our own events, but can be hired for whatever the occasion. Head to the ‘Events’ section to see upcoming events!
Live Music
Taking place in our Large upper hall, music nights sees a range of bands and musicians play gigs at the Yacht Club. Alongside the music, the yacht club bar is available to guests to grab a drink and enjoy a night of great music.
Sports in the Bar
During rugby matches and other major sporting events, the bar is open for members to come along and watch the game together including the 6 Nations and the Rugby World Cup
Workshops
Our facilities are available for members and the community to hire. Our club is home to many workshops and external groups including Tai-Chi, dance class, games and other social get togethers. Many of these workshops are open to members. If you have a social group or community looking for a place to set up, get in touch about hiring our facilities!
Family Events
We love to merge the sailing side with the social side, meaning everyone can find something to enjoy at our family events. Often our sailing regattas take place alongside barbecues or afternoon tea!

The Chart Room
Our large scale hall is used for music nights and other workshops, with a beautiful view over Belfast Lough as well as a balcony. We have also had music legends like Eric Bell and Van Morrison perform here!
Overlooking Belfast Lough, our bar is available to hire and is often open during sailing events and Rugby Matches. The bar comes stocked with a range of soft drinks, spirits and other alcoholic beverages including Rockshore, Guiness and Guiness 0.0 all on tap.
Located downstairs, our Chart Room offers a comfortable conference room setup, with a whiteboard and HD TV available to share presentations on screen. The kitchen next door is also available with tea and coffee facilities
